REHEARSAL | INTERVIEW ANNETTE SIMON Annette Simon worked as a psychotherapist in East Berlin from 1975-91 and has been active in the “New Forum” since 1989. She has been working as a freelance psychoanalyst and teaching analyst since 1992. She published several books on the psychosocial processes of German unification. “I didn’t feel my fear until after 1989, when I read my Stasi file,” says Annette Simon in the interview. In it, the daughter of the writer Christa Wolf learned of the Stasi’s plans to disintegrate her marriage – and also who should have separated her and her husband at the time.
